Palmeras en Positivo: The Documentary Premieres June 30th at the Filmoteca de Andalucía

Produced as part of the IN-HABIT H2020 project, and in collaboration with local organizations and residents, Palmeras en Positivo challenges harmful stereotypes by showcasing the strength, dignity, and diversity of the neighborhood. The documentary is the culmination of months of interviews with both locals and outsiders, who together help paint a fuller, fairer picture of this vibrant community.

From confronting misconceptions about school absenteeism to highlighting community resilience, the film invites viewers to go beyond headlines and explore the complex reality of Las Palmeras — through the eyes of those who live and work there.
