IN-HABIT Collaborates with Down Córdoba to Promote Inclusive Employment at Sustainability Event

The IN-HABIT project participates in the Sustainability Day event titled “The Harmony of Sustainability in the Mosque-Cathedral”, organized by the Cabildo of Córdoba and sponsored by the Spanish National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO. The contribution of the project, coordinated by the University of Córdoba, was to design an immersive learning experience focused on the necessary support tasks for any conference, to teach the members of the Down Córdoba Association how to work at such events.

Thus, during several days leading up to the event, a pilot group tested the experience at the Down Córdoba headquarters, practicing the various roles they might take on, from catering and attendee reception to room staff or setup crew. This not only helped them connect with new technologies and digitalization but also allowed for the organization of inclusive conferences and provided an opportunity to learn new concepts.

At the Sustainability Day event, held at the Córdoba Congress Palace, the group was able to apply what they had learned in the field, adapting to the needs of the event: welcoming attendees, assisting with the photocall, greeting them, seating them inside, passing out QR codes, serving water to the speakers, and reading a brief introduction to open the session.

This was just one of the events in which Down Córdoba members will participate, as IN-HABIT plans to continue working with them to include them in the final event organized by the project in Córdoba. In this way, the project aims to promote the health and well-being of all individuals by providing employment accessibility through gamification.
